One of the best contest to join is the Guardian's People Choice Award which is held annually since 2001 aiming to give recognition to brands and a fun way to engage customers. Not only they get to shop, learn about the brands but they also get to know the top health and beauty brands (voted unbiasedly by customers). 90 participating categories involving more than 200 brands and some 400 nominated products are up for the vote.

Customers just need to purchase a min of RM20 to earn entry an vote for the brand to stand a chance to win up to RM30,000 worth of prizes, including the grand prize of RM10,000 worth of Guardian vouchers and a three-day, two-night spa holiday-for-two at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur. This year, the entries could be submitted online at Guardian's Facebook page besides by mail or at the store. Another addition to this year is the Teens Choice Award category, only available exclusively online for teenagers between the ages of 13 - 19 to vote without need to purchase anything. They stand a chance to win RM10,000 worth of prizes including three gaming consoles!.

Receiving an overwhelming response, the winners of each category were announce in a recent Buka Puasa Dinner at Aloft Hotel, KL Sentral. Retailers, brands, media and bloggers attended and witness the top winning brands who won the contest. Trophies were given out and winners receive their prizes, along with bloggers who participated in a special voting contest as well. Here's a list of selected brands who won the categories.
